I think the important thing to remember here is that GM sucks... AND he got it home safe without murdering anybody's family. Let's all take a deep breath... woosah.

sounds familiar
A lot of car companies use the "sludge" excuse. Chrystler has had almost all their 2.7 v6 engines go out from sludge buildup. Think the number I read on the internet when mine died was around 500,000 of them, some of them with only 40k on them. They claim improper oil changes and stick the owner with a boat anchor. Just go on the web and search dodge intrepids the numbers will shock you.

all the dealership had to do was run the VIN#
it will show up on their computer ,, if the vehicle was properly maintained ( remember here,, they only warranty their vehicles IF they are serviced ONLY at a gm dealership ) same with ford, my dealer was very clear with me aboot ford`s strict warranty rules my warranty will remain intact ,,only if it is serviced at a ford dealership ( no 3rd party service center`s will be tolerated ) |

really? i'm pretty sure that is illegal in canada... i could be wrong on this, but my understanding is that any red-seal mechanic, can perform waranty approved maintence on any vehicle. Also, a company can apply for waranty approved status, not sure if this is through the company, or through the SAE though... i know all of our quick lube places are warranty approved, so as long as you have your receipts, or you have your warranty book stamped by them, you are covered

My truck has only had 3rd party service since mile 13, even had the transmission pan replaced with a deeper 4wd pan...and Ford still did warranty work twice (leaks) on the transmission. And every 3rd party service was disclosed at time of warranty repairs. |
haha thats very close to an lol wut green truk

Wow That makes me kinda dislike chevy even more
As a little cherry on top they refuse to replace the bumper because of "undue wear". FTW |
You can do your own oil changes if you keep the receipts...
