Towing a camper and motorcycle

I wasn't sure where to put this, so I figured here is good as any.

Have any of you towed a camper WITH a motorcycle in the bed?

We recently bought a pop-up camper, and plan to tow it about 150 miles in July to a motorcycle rally. It weighs about 1500 lbs, and is about 16-17' long (including the tongue). The bike weighs about 600 lbs, and will be in the bed of the truck, with the tailgate down. Now, things aside like "can I still turn the truck ?", etc, how do you think it will do ? Do you think it will sway too much with the added weight in the bed?

I'm going to do a "test run" as soon as I can, but until then, I'm trying to think of things that might come up?

Your truck is rated for almost 6000lbs towing i think with your load it will do just fine, remember its gonna take longer to stop.

Thanks guys ! I KNOW the truck can pull the load. Afterall, it is a Ford. I was more curious about how the trailer will do with the added weight ib the bed? Pulling it without the bike in the truck is a breeze !!

You'll be fine. Just remember to allow more stopping room. The extra weight on the truck will actually help stop sway.

Yea turning off overdrive is one thing that you have to do, that can kill a tranny in no time with it on. If your not on straight flat ground.
