I recently leased a 2020 FORD Ranger XLT 4X4 and plan on pulling my HELIO O3 travel trailer that weighs less than 1800 pounds. I went through a variety of drop down inches and determined that 10inch drop down hitch worked best. I couldn't believe how high the hitch receiver is on the 2020 Ranger. I also added a BAKflip hard Tonneau cover that I put in myself, it took two of us about 5 hours to install the tonneau cover because evidently the 2020 Ford Ranger needs to have support brackets bolted to the front and rear of the bed to give the lip of the cargo bed more substance for the side rails of the TONNEAU cover to bite into. So far I love the truck. I will pull for the first time this weekend but right now I am getting close to 20mpg in city driving but I do have to say I drive it very easy and don't punch it. I'm usually in grandpa gear. love the truck. Traded in my trusty Subaru Forester that I've happily driven for 5 years with NEVER a mechanical issue, towing the 1800 pound trailer. I'm hoping the Ranger performs as well as the Subaru did. I love the new technology and also got complimentary truck WIFI from AT&T for three months.
