has anyone with dual exhaust been able to install a hitch without remounting your duals? in any case post pics with duals and a hitch

 

my dads got a SI/DO borla with a hitch...i dont got pics though. and the exhaust wasnt custom so it couldnt have been bent around the hitch or wutever. of course he does drive a toyota tundra so that might make a difference.

i wanna know wut happened to my hitch since ive got a towing package...but no hitch!

 

you want duals strait out the back or 45degress out the back?

 

straight out the back... thats what i have now and i want to keep it and add a hitch

 

If you pull anything, the out-the-back duals will likely get exhaust gas fumes all over what you trailer, discoloring it and stinking it up.

 

i mainly want it as a recovery point for off roading since i dont ever tow anything

 

if you get a hidden hitch that should work as they dont hand down as low as the stock ford ones

Billy I got my old hitch off my truck since I'm buying a rollpan hitch.. let me know cause your truck has like everything off of mine already.....

 

thats all i need a hitch for. i dont have a need to tow anything (until i get my boat or a 4 wheeler that wont fit in the bed) i just need a rear recovery point since tow hooks didnt come on the back of fx4s until later on in their life. right now ive got a ball on my rear bumper which has held up to my buddy being in neutral and me trying to pull him out but then pulling him out with him in drive (he only has 2wd when hes in 4wd and his rear drive wheel was only touching water)

 

that is exactly what im lookin for thanks... it looks like i might have to move my pipes to do it though since mine are more toward the center... thanks guys

 

Billy I have the same issue I want a hitch for recovery point and want to keep my duals out the back.

 

does anybody make a class III that can fit straight back duals?

alright...thanks guys. i really wanted a hitch that had supports attach to the frame rails though and that one doesnt look like it does that. oh well, ill keep exhaust over somethin like that.

 

im pretty sure that one does bolt directly to the frame

 

Really man are you blind . dont u see the freeking mounts on eather end!! and all truck hitches mount to the frame rails besides those crappy one's that bolt to the bumper. and mine is not that it is a Class III hitch and can handle more load then my truck can even pull! the reason you cant see that cross bar running under the bumper is they made it so it sits behind the bumper so you dont see this bar underneathe but believe me it bolts to the frame you have to drill 2 extra holes too. and its held up with Grade 10 bolts.

o alright....i wasnt thinkin about that back crossmember. i was thinkin like frame rails. soon as the 3_s go on and if i got money left over after payments i think ill invest in one.

 

That hitch doesn't bolt to a cross member It bolts to the frame rails. It actually uses the same holes as the bumper does. I think your confussing what Zach is saying. I believe the cross member that Zach was refering to is the actual hitch itself. I had the same one on my old ranger. They look great and are easy to put on.
