My trans on my 98 3.0 4x4 was leaking, had the system flushed ,filter changed and new pan gasket (was told that was problem) $ 150.00

Still leaking, took to trans shop, and now I am being told the "piston covers" on the trans need new gaskets?? $120 or so

anybody have any info?

For $120 I wouldn't question it. I can't go to a tranny shop without being told $1800. i quit going. lol.

 

so true, seems like they just want the easy route out.

120 sounds fair, also it is not that hard to replace a few seals if your up to it. make sure you have the proper tools though.
