I've always fought stabbing the transmission back against the engine. It's not fun, and it definitely sucks, especially when you're laying on the ground. You probably just don't have it angled the right way. The tolerances are very narrow and if you have it angled even a little up, down, right, or left, it's gonna fight you. I see you've been trying to spin it and line it up, but have you tried wiggling it up and down, or left to right?

Havent really done much wiggling i tried it but I thought it might not doing anything this is my first transmission install, I will definitly try tomorrow wiggling it. I just wish the damn thing weighed atleast 10 pounds less this bitch is heavy as hell im honestly starting to lose my **** messing with it. I hope i can get it in I really dont want to take the presure plate and the clutch back off to see if it actually fits the spline after already lining it up and torquing it down... Thanks hopefully ill have better luck tomorrow i just wasnt expecting it to already take me 3 days of failing i knew it would be hard to do but I thought it would only take me like 6 hours of trying guess thats not how it works this truck has literally been the biggest pain in the *** but its my first car I ever had and I just cant help parting with it as ive learned everything I know from working on this truck its what taught me about vehicles and saving money repairing them. -Rob

Don't know if you've already tried it ,but I've used a couple 1 ton ratchet straps in the past to allign the trans. Strap them between the frame rails and lift the trans with a jack, then ratchet them tight. One under the bell, the other under the tail, and you can raise or lower one or the other until it's lined up perfectly.
