The Truck Is Gone

For those of you that don't know yet, the truck is in fact gone. I decided to just go ahead and post a new thread as im sure the for sale thread will be closed shortly.

As some of you may know, I finally took some nice pictures of it with a nice camera yesterday and posted them last night. I woke up this morning with my phone BLOWN up. I had like 6 missed calls, tons of texts, acouple emails, and a few voicemails about the truck. A few hours later it was sold.

The new owner might be showing up or already a member so I will try not to throw to much out as I know what he paid and what I got for the truck. But a specific dealer was just blowing my phone up like crazy none stop and the salesman had a friend that was looking for a ranger. He has an older ranger and wanted specifically a newer one with good miles, manual tranny, hopefully 4x4, etc etc. The salesman said that if I would drive down right now so his friend could drive the truck he would pay for gas if he didn't buy it, and if he did they would find me a ride home, so what did I have to lose?

So I threw some clothes on and was out the door. As soon as I got there the salesman met me on the other side and handed me the keys to acouple new vehicles and his debit card and said I could go drive w.e I choose out of them, go get something to eat, just whatever but to basically disappear and he will call me lol. So I did and about an hour later the guy wanted it and the deal was done.

It actually kind of helped me out because the guy already decided he wanted the truck and started the financing process and everything before the dealership even bought my truck from me lol. So knowing that it gave me a little bit of room knowing that if I went home they just lost money off my truck, and lost a sale to this guy. So they didn't even haggle with me, just asked me to be fair and wanted to know what I wanted and cut me a check.

Then just for kicks got to find out what the other guy paid and waited for them to take me home. I will say though that the deal was basically fair for everyone and the dealership really didn't make much or try to screw him. They were suprisingly great to deal with and were fair on all sides; which is def hard to find in a dealer nowadays.

I will be back tho. I dont know when but eventually I will with an SAS build. Goodluck and ill be checking in, I might even throw in some pictures to remember lol.

Thanks

EDIT: some pictures to remember her by lol. BTW ORIGINAL build sheet with the original tape from 2006 still on it. BAMF! lol

Thanks, it was def a good lil truck.

Ah I dont know yet, im just going to drive my families for the time being. I work nights so there is a vehicle home every night when I need it.

But im part owner of a horse farm with my family so part of the agreement is I can use the 06 dodge 3500 thats for the business whenever I want, providing that I atleast let them know; to tow, or drive or w.e the case within reason.

So ive been driving it around and keeping my ranger in the garage for the last week or 2. This week I was on vacation from work all week which is why I was hoping to work it out to sell it this week sometime.

But I plan to attain 2 vehicles by the time my next semester starts at University of Louisville here soon because then I will obviously need my own vehicle again. Im hoping to get some form of 4 cyl truck to DD and then have an older 4x4 at home to use for winter or whenever I need it. Acourse i really could use a fullsize now instead of always using her car but im afraid if I go that route, (fullsize 4x4) that it will limit me to only being able to afford one vehicle again without having to get a payment again so its still up in the air on final details.

Right now I have about 9 grand.

So my goal by august when I go back to school is to pay the $1500 I owe to school which takes me down to $7500. Then use about 2 grand n put in 6 month rainy day fund which takes me down to $5500. Then I will probably spend about 4 grand cash on alittle daily drive (something like another early 00's s10 2.2. Yes I know a chevy but ive had 2 of them so far and they get great gas mileage, super easy to work on, and both of mine have been flat out amazing in the dependable, NEVER break department, even when mistreated and not maintained) but then that takes me down to the $1500 left over and ill probably spend that or alittle more on an older 4x4 to keep at home and use in the winter.

Thats atleast the "mature" route im trying to go lol. Even though ive always had to pay for all my things, payments, insurance, gas, etc etc im really getting sick of payments lol. I have already had 6 vehicles since I started driving and I turn 22 in july. So like mentioned id like to get down to having 2 vehicles; one good on gas to DD and the other a 4x4 with the kicker being liking both vehicles and both being paid off. That way no truck payments, im not forced to keep full coverage on them like such when you owe on them, etc etc.

Then after I finish my senior year here at college and get a full time "career" style job, then if I want I will get another payment on something new and super nice that I really want and it won't really matter because I can just keep it nice and not drive it that much and I will make plenty to cover the costs

Thanks man. The new owner had an older ranger so he obviously likes them and wanted another one specifically so hopefully it went to a good home.
