So today at school my truck got broken into. Im really ****in pissed off! It seems whoever did those knows alot about ranger and more exact knows the door handle trick. Hes apparantly hit 7 other rangers on campus in the last 3 weeks and none of them had any damage done to the outside. Campus police have been trying to crack down on this guy and he seemed to have backed off but today we had insane fires not to far from campus so they were all distracted with that which is why I'm guessing he figured it was a good day to hit me. Totals about 2500 in stolen stuff.

 

Sucks man. Maybe its time for a new vehicle since you aren't having much luck with this one.

that sucks man. it happens. and before someone posts it, please don't post a vid or how-to in this thread showing the 'trick' that the theif used.

I think it's time for a how-to mod to block this way of entry. sheet metal ftw.


Marie's truck was broken into today....unfortunately, there's damage to the door. All to steal garage door openers and charging cables. Didn't even touch her stereo. Cop came to dust the truck in the damaged area, first thing the cop said "your truck is really clean'.....got real good prints.

That sucks man!! As shane said my truck was broken into about 3 hours ago... luckily not much damage to the truck (broke the lock to get in) but they took garage door openers and keys so I've had to re-key my house. Hopefully they stake out all the rangers at your school!

 

id be pissed too... that sucks man, i want a james bond style alarm... touch it and u get shocked lol

 

That sucks .... I had a truck broken into a few years back and it made me completly lose interest in the truck... drove it once after that (about 2 months later) only to trade it in for a Jeep.....
Can someone pm me the plate mod so this doesn't happen to me...

Man that sucks i would be so pissed if that happened to me. A buddy of mine got his headunit stolen out of his Cherokee a few weeks ago while it was sitting in his drive way. Wtf is the world coming to.

 

That sucks man, Hope they catch him and give your stuff back. This is why I hate taking my truck to school, There have been break ins in the past none of them Rangers but I'm always worried someones gonna break in to my truck. I need to invest in one of those alarms that go off if you bump against the vehicle. My friend has one and its saved him a couple times

 

I'm thinking it's time to ditch the in-truck opener and get the keypad on the garage door... well... I don't really need to ditch the first one just don't think I'm gonna replace it... garage door is unplugged for the time being though since I don't have any spare openers.

Guys.....if you find out the info, you'll see what needs covered. Involves pulling the door panel, and glueing in a piece of sheet metal. I won't post anything on how to break in...any posts that do that have always been deleted and out of view on all the ford ranger forums sites.

 

holy ****, 2500? damn thats a kick in the pants. If I knew they were hitn rangers I'd have a buddy or someone who could stake out in a car around the area. I would mangle someone If I caught them in my truck.

 

that really sucks....and motivates me to put in an alarm on my truck.

I have not heard of any trick to get into rangers, ****! Having bought a new ranger and carrying lots of stuff I'm very interested in this. Can someone pm me on this? I'll take whatever measures to prevent this trick.
