Uh Oh!

Today as I was pulling out onto a busy road my throttle got stuck at ~90%.
I took the throttle body shield of and played around with the cable freeing it up.
I still don't know why it stuck, I know it isnt the floor mat or something rolling on the floor.
Has this ever happened to any of you, If so what caused it?
Does the 4.0 OHV have a rev limiter?

Yes it does, but you sure don't want to rely on THAT!!!!

Lube the cable, clean the TB.

I figured out what the problem was.
The top of the gas petal got caught on the cable for the hood release.
there are marks there so it looks like it has rubbed a quite a few times.

The throttle body is clean and the throttle cable seems alright.

My pedal got stuck on my floor mat as I was coming around a corner and I had two options...Hit 2 guys, or the dumptruck. I cranked the wheel as hard as I could and ramed the dumptruck...sad day
