had truck inspected today and need to replace upper and lower right side ball joints on my 99 mazda B 2500.... what can i plan to spend on the parts if i do the work myself and any tips/guides to look at or watch.

I went with Moog Performers for my truck. I recommend looking at rockauto.com, thats where I found the best prices for them.

 

X2 on rockauto.com. I spent $100 on lower moog joints alone a few weeks ago. They are lifetime warranty though.

I would get them from advance auto parts. Using retailmenot.com (just search in google advance auto parts coupon codes) enter coupon codes on advanced autos website. Then do store pickup. You can actually get them cheaper than rock auto this way and get them the same day (which is great for a 3 day weekend). Plus if you ever have to trade them in because of warranty you don't have to wait.

 

I just inherited my Dad's 1998 Ranger 3.0 2wd with only 105k on it. He never abused it and not sure if I want to keep it. How many miles do these rangers typically get before they are done if taken good care of it.

 

I have a 98 Ranger 3.0L 2wd and in the process of changing out my upper control arm and ball joint. Does anybody know if I can simply reuse the camber bolts that come out of the control arm I just ordered the Moog performers because most people seem to like them on the forum here. I know I have to mark them before taking them out. Just don't want to put it all back together to find out I need to update something.
