Hey guys, well the poor ranger is in a very bad state. Last night, me and my brother were driving downtown, i was going to drop him off with my folks, and pick up my girlfriend. We turned onto the road, and he said something or pointed something out, casuing me to look away (1st mistake) and as the road curves my truck followed my hand instead(2nd mistake). We first took out a speed limit sign, which caused the passenger door to fly open, then the telephone pole. We eneded up ontop of the pole. My brother jumped out immediately, and i was in such shock, I've had my license for two weeks, and was doing everything right, but for a millisecond i looked away, the engine began smoking, so my brother was screaming at me to get out, and i finally did. We are both FINE, not even a scratch, bump nor bruise, but quite rattled. AS for the truck, she unfortunately not as well as us, because the passenger door opened, its bent in about 5 different places, the window shatterd, and the extended cab door is bent as well. The bumper and valance were ripped off and the pole was so wedged up under the truck that it may have and most likely bent the frame. My head lights, off road lights were all shattered, the hood was bent in and up, and one of the support cables of the pole, tore a pretty decent sized hole into the bed. As all you ranger owners know, they are another part of our life, and aside from the fact that i could have severly hurt myself or my brother, i hurt my truck. I bought her for 6 grand, and put an additional 3 into her, and just it was tough seeing her in that state today. i felt i would share, let everyone know that I'm okay and keep you updated, i didnt have the camera today, but hopefully will try and get pics and this week or next Amica is gonna come out. ~Pat

 

That really sucks man! Gad you and your brother are ok though! Hopefully you learned a lesson(unfortunately an expensive one).

thanks yeah, I dont know, part of me wants my baby back, but then part of me wants the money and go get a newer ranger....I'm torn, but its no longer in my hands so
