v6 swap

v6 swap

i got a 02 ranger with the 2.3l and i was thinking of swaping it out for a 3.0l v6 does it pretty much bolt in or is there fabing involved and does the wiring plug into existing fuse boxes etc. advice?

I think the motor mounts are different. Honestly I would go straight to the 4.0 V6 or even a 5.0 V8 if your doing all that work. The 3.0 isn't the most powerful or fuel efficient motor.

X2. Have the 3.0 very reliable, but a dog when it comes to torque and power.

just swap in a 5.0 same mpg as a 4.0 but a hell of a lot more power
