Value of my Ranger (or how much should I ask)
So I want to sell my ranger, but apparently I think it's worth more than others do. I've checked NADA, and they say it clean trade in around 6300. I've got it on autotrader have have had no real hits. It's got the 4.0 SOHC, 5M and low miles. Should I just take the $5000 offer I have? Am I delusional in thinking I could get just over $6k?

Thanks for any suggestions.

I think my biggest negative with selling the truck is that's it's only RWD. I'm starting to think about a bigger 'family' car since cars seat take up quite a bit of room, and I have to think that I could get close to 6k on a trade in. I just didn't want to do that yet since my current car is paid off next summer. Oh well, the wife deserves a new car...
Maybe I'll swing by a dealer and see what they say.

Not too viciously. Most ads i've seen they really held their value. Check out ex-rental Tauruses and Crown Vics. Not even a year old and they're half priced.

There are also a couple of spelling/grammar errors in your "seller's description" section. Of course normally on forums it's not a big deal, but when you're selling a truck potential buyers could be scared away thinking they're going to be buying their truck from some high school kid that tore it up.
Corrected:
4.0 SOHC 5M 6250 OBO Looks & runs great. Low mileage, no accidents, non-smoker, one owner. This is a great truck. It has the 4.0L SOHC V6 with 205hp and a 5 speed manual transmission. A very rare combination. It is in great shape, and hasn't caused me any problems. It has air conditioning, cruise control, tilt wheel, and a 6 CD changer. It also has a Downey products tonneau cover, Penda-liner bed liner, & Westin step bars. My wife and I had a child last year and need to buy a family vehicle ["isn't worth keeping" sounds bad to a potential buyer, and "need to buy a family vehicle" makes the potential buyer feel they're helping you out so maybe they won't haggle so much]. Feel free to ask any questions or make offers. Dave Nada prices it at $6,950 trade in, or $8,775 retail. Make me an offer.
