vehicle speed sensor is where?

vehicle speed sensor is where?

my speed sensor recently went out. im trying to replace or at least find the location of. can anyone help me with pics or walkthrough?

Not sure what year they were changed , but most likely it is on the top front of the rear axle.
Some years used that sensor for speed and ABS.

some are on the top of the transfercase

theres a speed sensor on each front wheel for the ABS, one on the rear axle for ABS and one on the trans (OSS) for the speedometer...which one is bad and how do you know?

Damn, justy you beat me to it lol... The VSS is most likely the OSS on the tailhousing on his truck

might wanna check the wires going to it as well.. my speed sensor went out.. atleast i thought it did.. so i replaced it and it was still broke... so i was lookin around and traced out the wires and they were torn apart... spliced them back together and it all good
