Weird Brake Vibration

Ok I have this weird vibration that is felt on the brake pedal and the floor board area. It only happens once in a while like once a week and it happens when I hit a small bump and I am riding the brake. It feels like the brake pushes back against my foot or something. I just greased the slip yoke so that is out of the question. I don't think the rotors are warped because it only happens once in a while and it's only like a quick jolt than everything is fine. It is very noticeable, my girlfriend will look at me like "what the hell was that" but not say anything. Any help would be appreciated. Also it feels like it is coming from the front passenger area.

That is your ABS kicking in if you can feel the pedal pushing back.

I would agree with Earl, when you hit the bump your truck could be feeling as if it is losing traction and your ABS kicks in.

Yeah I have felt ABS kick in but it is on my Girlfriends Saab 9-3, and it would only do it on ice/slick roads. Also when it kicks in on the Saab it is more of a chatter, i.e. it lasts longer. The one I feel on the ranger is more like one quick jolt with only a single "bump/vibration" in the brake pedal. I guess it could be the ABS but it seems if that were the case, the ABS is too sensitive.

its most likely the rear abs when your axle hops over a bump it gets slightly "airborn" so it kicks in damn near every light weight *** end trucks do it..
