I just thought i'd get a topic started on the Mazda B-Series since they're essentially the same as a Ranger. What are your views on them? Love them? Hate them?

Mazda B-Series

Well seeings as the new 2005 STX ranger will have a Mazda bed, I like them except for the front, I love the beds because they look like a stepside but you have the storage of a reg side.

I have no personal experience, but I've heard that the only difference between the B-series and the Ranger is the warranty (B-series is longer) and the cliamate system (you can choose when the AC comes on). I'm not sure if I believe the AC bit though. Asside from that I understand they are entirely identical save a few cosmetic things. As for the cosmetic differences, I prefer the Ranger. Can't stand that silver trim they have around the windows..

My grandfather owns a 2000 B3000 SE (ext cab v6). I don't believe the "ac thing" is true. And he doesnt have the silver trim.

I guess I watched them build the STX here, I was wondering why they had a Mazda bed on a Ranger.

I think the Ranger is a much better looking truck. Obviously the capabilities are identical.
