Well, I officially regret buying my Ranger.

On a side note, my wife had an 06 Jetta, not one single problem in 4 years and 32K miles. On the other hand, my 06 Jetta GLI with the turbo had tons of problems..... ying and yang!

i can understand why you would want an M3... but getting yourself another 10,000 in debt isn't helping your cause any... there are good driving cars out there other than an M3, such as another E36 3 series(if you are determined to stick to a BMW)... i would sell the ranger privately if i sold it at all... but there are many things to enjoy about driving a ranger...

M3's are nice, but look at what you already have first!!!!!!
IMO You'd be CRAZY to accept a deal like that... And You don't seem to know the price of the rangers either, which is bad homework on your part...
I have thought about trading in/selling my ranger MANY times. I was even looking at M3's as well... However, my ranger does exactly what I need it to do, it's the newest vehicle I have ever owned, and its still under warranty... This BMW is older, will have no factory warranty, and will be more expensive to maintain...
It's your choice in the end, but I seriously think you should reconsider how much you "need" that M3....
You're already in WAY over your head....
Sleep on it, make a list of the pros and cons, consult a financial advisor, and then make an EDUCATED decision, not just one that you make on a whim because you think "ooooh a shiny BMW"
Good luck....

your first mistake was buying a ranger for $30,000... for that much you could have gotten a V8 car (SS camaro/5.0stang/SRT8s/Vette) nearly new and you wouldnt be having this problem or gotten a V8 Chevy or Ford fullsize and could have had fun in a truck. But you did, so pay it off as quick as possible, keep it in the best shape you can and keep putting it up for sale for what you owe on it then you can go back to your BMWs with a lesson learned.

And i agree - way too much for a Ranger. I got mine for 17,500 Brand New. My brother bought his '08 FX4 at 17,000 Brand New as well (kind of jealous on that note) - sometimes the dealer really wants to get rid of them at the end of the year.
