what general aftermarket parts should be put on a ranger?

so my question is: what will make a ranger not only look good, but sound good and proform good off road aswell as on road?
what kind of headlights would be the best? i was thinking of putting 2 1/4 inch pipe and a flowmaster 44, good idea? to much back pressure? what lift kit would be good for *occational offroading? i was looking at Rough country 4 inch with springs

First we need more info on your truck! Year, model, drive train etc.

You should do an 04+ front end swap and then the headlight mod

Agreed but don't rice it out with halos. Second thing I would do is get rid of that anchor and put in a 302.
