This is for 08+ trucks. The torsion keys were reindexed to make the 08+ trucks sit lower. The prekey mod is swapping the 08+ torsion keys out for 07 or older key lifting the ride height 1-2 inches.

you can do two things.
1. crank or adjust the screw. it raises your truck but affects down travel.
2. getting aftermarket keys but these are not the best way.

i put 07 keys in my 08 last year and got around 2" lift . No need to crank the TB's. it was a simple mod that didnt take to long to do. I think there is a write-up around here with pics to help you out. You can find keys at a wrecker or you can just go to Ford and order them. I think mine where like 100 cdn each. Still dont know why they did it in the first place.

I've actually heard that the 08+ trucks handle much better. less body roll, hugs the road better. kinda like driving a 2WD coil sprung ranger over a pre-08 4WD. You can feel the difference when you go around turns too fast.

That reminds me: are 08+ 2WDs lower than pre-08s.

I dont think they are any lower. Just the torsion bar rangers is my understanding.
