What size socket fits the 1989 standard cab , dashboard screw/bolt on the top next to windshield. . ... i have very limited sockets / socket drivers... only have standard at this time so here is another question that might help me narrow it down ... what metric is between 11/32 (too big) and 1/4 (too small)? thanks ... the bottoms screw/bolts are all t-15's which i have its just those darn top 4 next to the windshield..

 

I'm not sure but you may want to go to Sears and pick up a socket set, they come in all sizes to fit your budget and they are Craftsman so they are guaranteed for life. Most sets have Metric and Standard sockets in them (just make sure before you buy the set).

This is my set made by Stanley, it's the Black-Chrome set and has all the deep and normal, metric and standerd as well as wratchet wrenches, torx bits and other pieces. In my opinion it's one of the best kits on the market for the amount of pieces you get and I give it 2 thumbs up.

I have beat on my set for two years now and have never broke anything, sure you didn't have a long snipe on it? But they do have a lifetime warrenty.

 

Check out Harbor Freight. Their sockets are super cheap and they'll get the job done. Most of their tools will get the job done for that matter. Some are crap though.

Yah but that doesn't make them all junk, I broke a Snap on 3/8's flex head ratchet but that doesn't make everything from Snap On Junk. You go with what works best for you and this set was a great deal so I gave it a shot and I myself am very happy with it.
