What would you pay for this ranger?

2005 FX4 level 2 111k miles. 5 speed with the nice FX4 shifter but it's not a twin stick. black with red insert buckets, all black interior (dash, etc) you guys know the deal.

as you can see below, it doesn't have a front bumper. passengers side corner has a hole in it, a rear tail is fogged up due to moisture, the 31x11.5 swampers (gay) will need to be replaced.

Interior, the arm rest is missing (typical) and the drivers seat has a small tear on the left side of the seat, prob some bigger person driving it.

They're asking 6995 for it, there is a 99 next to it with 168k for the same price, what would you pay? I'm going to look at it with someone later today.

I'm going to drive it and see how it drives and go from there. I have a bumper with fogs and valence already lined up to go on the truck if i do buy it.

Im definitely not paying 7k for it though

Make sure you really have a good look over it, just by looking at it you know what it's been through.

hmm, well that is a good sign, maybe it will turn out to be a nice truck but the fact that they are asking the same price for an older truck with more miles makes me suspicious.

Hard to say! The truck itself does look to be in good shape. Up here that isn't too bad a deal! What are those trucks going for where you are?

yeah its a little weird but my guess is that its because its missing the front bumper and that corner tail and armrest but i'll find out for sure once i drive it.

they're going for 10-12, it varies. i've only seen one other level 2 for sale on local craigslist and they want 12 for it with 104k and its sonic blue

You still don't really know 100% what you're getting if you were to buy the same type of truck for $10K. If it looks solid and it's what you want I'd go for it.

I'd at least test drive it.. and inspect it real good. Look for leaks, torn cv boots, bad ball joints, jack it up and check out hubs etc. Ask for the CARFAX, lol. And talk em down telling em how much is going to cost you to get a new bumper from ford and all the other stuff that's messed up. Go in with a quote from ford in hand so it doesn't look like your BS'ing them. I'd drive it.... just an excuse for a custom bumper anyway.

clutch was done for haha. floor it in any gear once moving and it would rev and finally catch afterwards. wouldn't even spin the tires on a wet road with bald swampers.

Are you thinking about making an offer or letting it go?

letting it go. i have no desire to replace the clutch. f that lol. if im buying something it will be something i can just throw plates on and drive it without repairing anything for a while. I can keep saving up money anyway and buy something better and have spare money to lift it on 33's right off the bat haha
