I just bought a 2003 ranger xlt. The rear doors will not open. The top latch releases but the bottom one won't. I removed the panel(major pain) and the cable is attached to the latch but doesn't appear to move the assembly enough to release..I think it might be a serious rust issue from lack of use but not sure. Is it possible to remove the latch from the inside or do I have to sacrifice the latch to open the door? If I have to destroy the latch is there an easy way or do it or is it learn as you go?
