whatcha think?

so iv pretty much decided on what truck im gettin and my dads buggin me to start a "project" with him. ya know that yucky bonding time haha.

so he cant decide if he wants to do an extreame woods beater or a fast *** car.

i want both but obviously can only do 1....... at a time

so im leaning more tword the car just cause im already gettin my tuck in a few months and itll be fun to have a car i can zip around goin 120.

so what kinda car you guys think would be a good starter, cause i dont think we wanna spend much more the like 6 grand on it. im personally thinking like a mustang, a lancer or a impala but i dont think there are many 5 speed impalas around here so what you guys think would be a good 1 to start with? ill deff listen to other suggestions.

wanna go fast! zoom zoom

The obvious choice is a fox body mustang. They are easy to modify, tons of aftermarket, and just fun as hell.

I'm a fan of the third gen camaro's but because of the tpi/tbi setup, a fox body would probably be easier to modify.

After reading that, I believe you should build a trail rig...

fox body mustang, or a nissan 240sx. You can get those shells for like $500 and tons of engines to chose from....and they are RWD

Good choices but.....nahhh....Get a early 80's g-body 4 door preferably. Leave the outside stock, mod the engine, tranny, suspension. It's what i am in the process of doing right now. I picked up a 79 Pontiac Station wagon with a 400 poncho in it. Picked it up for 500 bucks. Sold the poncho engine allready to a poncho fan. I am going to put a 500ci caddy engine in it, do some small p/p on the heads and spray it for all it's worth. I can't wait for the look on riceboy's faces.

T-top over a convertible, unless you go back to the 60's- 70's on the car.

77-79 Trans Am (smokey and teh Bandit style) can be had for $2500 to $3500
Or a fox body T-top.
