Now I notice theres the ranger edges, xlt's, splash's, and svt's....now I have been wondering what the difference is between them all....What does one have that dosnt come on the others? Just wondering, thanx!

 

the edge is the sportier edition....
svt is the race edition........
splash is the gen 3 stepside..........

 

XLT's come with chrome bumpers and grilles, usually come with the leather steering wheel, premium door panels, coil spring suspension; EDGE's have body colored bumpers and grille surround (04+), with the vinyl floors, vinyl steering wheel, non-power accessory models have the cheaper door panels, 2wd's get the "4x4 like" torsion bar suspension w/ 2" blocks in rear..

 

The only real SVT Ranger ever made by Ford was the Lightning Bolt. It was a Ranger XLT 2wd with the 5.4L Supercharged engine from the real Lightning. Edge's regarless of drivetrain have the torsion bar supsension and 2" blocks in the rear. XLT models with 2wd have a coil sprung front suspension. All 4wd models have a torsion bar front suspension. XL's are the bottom of the line but could still be had with 4wd. They look just like a 2wd but they aren't. Also all 4wd trucks excluding the xl had fog lights.

 

different packages you can get..

go to fords site and build a truck and change the package and see whats different...

 

there are so many different packages available. basically you can get anything you want if you order from ford.
