Safari Bar/Skid Plate

Does anyone on here have a Westin Safari Bar on their truck while still keeping the factory front skid plate? The Westin site says the skid plate has to be removed... can it be modified easily to be able to keep it on with the bar installed?
Any pics would be great!

I had a Grizzly bull bar, fit with skid plate, had to trim valence, but it fit up tight.

A little bit of a hijack, but what is the point of them?

Just a smaller form of extra protection to the front end, and a place to add aftermarket lights to. They're essentially called bull bars. (I'm not entirely sure of the name's origin)
