Where can I pick up a front skid plate ?

I dont have my lower valance anymore ( Thank you florida for the flood water bullcrap, somehow It got yanked off, partly due my fault for going through every puddle I saw )

I remeber a guy was selling one and it looked really good, I've tried looking on ebay for one, If I remeber right you have to remove the valance anyway.

Tried with google but no luck, just instruction and pictures, or my truck isn't in the datebase for the product.

Also, a link to the 2inch leveling kit for the front would be perfect too :)

for a '97 it will have to be a custom unit.....there isn't any companies that manufacture a skid plate for a '97 and older Ranger....

James duff makes a skid plate that you might be able to use. It is designed to work with their bumper but you may be able to make up some brackets to work with your stock bumper.

If it looks like crap it's home made. If it looks decent it's custom.

eh, i paid $55 shipped to my door for the front plate, $40 shipped for the transfer case skid plate, and $90 shipped for the gas tank. with all mounting hardware included. Id call that 'getting my moneys worth.

Side note: explorer gas tank skid plates WILL not work with out extensive modification - the brackets are welded in the wrong spots!

^^^ but when you go to the factory and they want like $200 for the front skid, that is not worth it, especially if when you hit it hard it crumbles.

If I was going to pay 200 bucks for one skid it better be able to jump over any obstacle that is in front of it. haha

theres mine, if i did it again, or re design it, it will be narrower so there is room to bolt it to the frame, right now, as u can see the up right parts are welded to the middle of the sections that attach to the frame
