Up on the overhead console?

Hmm, that woudl be fantastic to do actually... I would assume that all you need are some wire plugs and more wire to seam it up through the door or back behind the cab up to the top up there.

When I was looking at it in my truck it didn't really look that hard, just lengthening a lot of wires to get the HVAC controls down there. And then a custom bracket for the CB. Take lots of pics when you do it. What CB did you end up going with?

Cobra 19. I may put the CB in the top cubby hole in the console, just depends on what it looks like when I get started. Hopefully the weather will be nice next Sat.

Nice, I have the Cobra 29 in that cubby hole, works great for me. I like it there cause the speaker is exposed you can hear it very well. I need to get some pics of it.

Please do(tonight)! I'm thinking about going out now and starting to do some cutting, but now sure how far I'll get tonight. I don't think I'll leave my speaker exposed, I'll get a little external speaker.

I would if I had a camera and my truck wasn't in the parking lot 2.5 miles away lol. I have 1 pic but its pretty crappy, I changed how I mounted it so its up tighter with the bezel, looks a lot better. Here it is:

I know it looks crooked lol, thats why I fixed the way it was mounted, I'll get some better pics sometime this week.

Thanks. I am going to mold around the CB so hopefully it will look like it's meant to be there. The more I think about it I may just put it in the console...

Well I decided to keep my A/C controls where they are , but I have been making, fabbing, molding, and cutting my new CB fit in my Expo console. I'll start another thread later on with all the pics. of the process. Hopefully I can get it primed tomorrow...
