Because yelling Ranger! is much more fun than yelling S-10, Taco, One Fiddy, etc.

It fits my needs perfectly, I don't need a big truck, but I do need a 4x4 truck. It has hauled and towed everything I've needed without any issues. Knocks down 20mpg+, insurance is cheap, it does great in the snow, it's paid for, and it looks good. I plan on keeping this truck for many years to come, currently has 165k miles and runs great.

It looks nice and tough, cheaper to own then a fullsize, can still haul over 1k pounds in the bed without an issue. Makes one hell of a snowblower...It will go though most anything.

For me:

It has sentimental value.
It has done EVERYTHING I have asked of it, and then some. Even when folks told me it couldnt/wouldnt do it.
It handles well, even when grossly overloaded
I have never been left out 'cold'
It has been EXTREMELY dependable
Easy to get in and out of.
Some what easy to work on...
Parts are dirt cheap
Rides like a cadillac with my 'new to me' heated, powered, leather seats
And, I like how it looks.

As an added bonus, it now sounds like it has an aftermarket exhaust on it now that there is a rust hole in the muffler

I like mine because its more road friendly then my Bronco. Gets OK MPG's. Rangers are good looking trucks. Its been fairly dependable. Easy to mod. And I got a good deal when I bought it.

Reasons why I hate it? 2 door, no space for more then 1 person, no space for my dog. Thats about it.

I like mine because it is good on fuel and will get better after I get some more work done on it. Feels like a big truck in a little body. lol Oh-it's paid for:)

Nimble enough to get in tight parking spots.

Tall enough to see over fart cars.

Geared enough to have fun while driving it (4.88's and 33's accelerate like a bat out of hell).

Long wheelbase is very stable for towing and most wheeling I do.

Its a truck yet I still get 19mpg+

I can haul stuff in the bed.

B/c it is a ranger, but not really (Mazda b4000).

Cuz it is TTB and flexs like your SAS.

Has 230K miles ans still fires up and runs stronger than your chevy.

And lastly, light enough to not get stuck where your dodge would

How do yah like me now!

I've had mine for over 6 years and it hasn't skipped a beat ever. It's easy to work on and I have never had any problems from it. And it pulls or hauls everything I would ever need to with ease. The only thing I would ever change is to put a V8 in it someday lol.

Ford has made the best trucks in the past and will continue to, period.

1.Four Wheel Drive
2.Damn good looking
3.Rangers are possibly the most reliable vehicle you can own, and they don't rattle and break apart when you touch things, they feel very solid
4.Easier to park and change lanes than a full size
5.Cheap to buy, fuel, insure, and repair. These things all add up over time
6.Highly modifiable. Mine has stock suspension and tires, but I often have thought about adding a lift kit and big fat tires, a roll bar and fog lights, etc and best of all if you really get bored you can fit a V8 under the hood. I'm thinking 500+hp...
7.I can haul a fridge or a sofa or a dresser. Only one piece at a time, but still- try that with your SUV
8.Although I am 350 pounds and in the Ranger I look like a bear riding a tricycle, I actually find the seats comfy
9.Easier to get into than an F150, especially if you have to hold the door half open to prevent door dings

i like mine because everyone else thinks its badass. and its blue. and i guess i like it to

i wish it was 4wd, and i wish my engine wasn't comparable to 1000 sham-wows.

1000 sham-wows? Damn, that's wimpy... mine's got the power of 1,000,000,000 hamsters...

What I really like about mine is that it made moving firewood easy today.... We had a pile of split apple wood dumped into the garage a couple months ago, knowing we wouldn't burn all of it this season.

So... instead of having to unload all of the split ash in the trailer and using that, we just put it in the truck bed and drove it over to where we were stacking it out back. Three trips to take care of a full cord. Not bad considering the truck box takes up the first 2 feet of the short bed.

Standard cab = no room for stupid people... or overly bubbly and jumpy nervous nellies... I don't like people that make my vehicle shake side to side when I'm driving down the road...

I like mine because it's a pick-up and I get to drive by my friends that have full-sizes at the gas station. All I here them say is how much they can't afford to drive it because it's so bad on gas.. I also like it because it looks mean and squeezes through small spaces.

Honestly, it was the last of what I call small trucks. Everyone else had went to midsized trucks the last few years. I wanted a small easy to park big v6 extracab. Found out the 2011's were the last of them to be produced and snagged one with a towing package and xlt trimmed. I have bigger trucks, just wanted a 5 spd to play around in.

Haul a ton, tow 1 1/2 ton, 7ft bed, can go through flooded roads, long lasting chasis and drive train, and all with 27mpg. In brief, its a full service truck with the owner cost of a car ! Love it to death.
