Why does my gear oil smell like butt???

I pulled the differential cover yesterday before pushing the truck back into the garage and letting it drip the gear oil out the rest of the way overnight.

I noticed when I pulled off the cover that it stunk, but now that it has been in my sealed garage overnight, I can smell that putrid odor and it almost makes me want to vomit!

Is it because it's 7 year old gear oil? Do you think it got completely worn out from 130,000 miles of use and just burned up?

What do I do with it, once I get it in an old milk jug? Will AutoZone accept it like they do the motor oil? I also have radiator fluid, radiator fluid with some oil mixed in, lots of oil, and lots of transmission fluid. I have a total of probably 10 gallons or more of all these fluids, separated and labeled individually!

I take all my mixed crap to pep boys. Usually they have me dump it in their oil tank so they never see what I'm dumping. I don't think they care because I took in oil that smelled like gas (i had changed the fuel filter) and when the guy dumped it smelled the garage up but he didn't care. Usually its kids working so they don't give a crap.
