RCD lift or Whipple

ok i have to decide to get a RCD lift rims and tires or to get a Whipple rims and tires what would you get. if i go whipple i can also get headers intake underpully tuner and flowmasters over time but if i go with an RCD i can get headers intake underpully tuner and flowmasters over time. would you rather have a lifted truck with ok engine upgrades or a stock suspention with great engine upgrades. i dont know what would you do thanks

$3,300 is not terribly bad for a pre-engineered supercharger. Knowing it was $2,500 4 weeks ago is the part that is hard to swallow.

With a 3.0 I wold probably get the whipple. With a 4.0 i would get the lift kit.

Step 1. Sell truck.

Step 2. Buy 4x4 truck with 4.0L

Step 3. RCD lift

or keep the truck to drive as a daily driver and buy a 94 4.0 4x4 for a $1,000 and lift it and use it for off roading or to fix up.

If that's the case, buy a 94 4x4 with the 4 cyl and 5.0 and SAS it.

it is REALLY underpowered for a Ranger. A 4.0 will get better fuel milage in a supercab ranger because you dont have to constantly be in the throttle all the time like in the 3.0. If you ever tow anything then the 4.0 will outperform a 3.0. I think it was a really bad idea for Ford to offer the 3.0 in a supercab 4x4.

More Horsepower > less horsepower

I'm just giving you a hard time though man. The 3.0L is a tried and true engine. I do reccommend staying away from whipple for awhile though, because of the price increase and the problems they've had. And while I don't blame you for wanting more power out of your 3.0L, a whippled 3.0L has nearly exactly the same HP and TQ figures as a NA 4.0L and doesn't have to run premium gas etc etc etc.

What problems are they having? I know they have had backorder items but the 3.0 has not been effected by it from the communications I have had with them. I sold one over Christmas and it was delivered promptly. The only issue was the pricing. I guess the pricing is still an issue as they still show $2500 on their sites the last I looked.

If the problem is damage in shipment that is gonna happen at some point at some time with anybody.
