if everybody jumps off a cliff, would you do it too?

Sorry, had to throw that in here. No, I don't think anyone here has their entire windhsield tinted....most either have the shade at the top, or just the top 6" tinted. imo, FKIN STUPID IDEA. I had 10% on my old truck, and to see where I was going in the middle of the night, at turns, I had to roll down the window. Just imagine that with a windshield.

Florida motor vehicle code chapter 316.2952 http://www.flsenate.gov/Statutes/ind...2952#0316.2952

(b) Sunscreening material along a strip at the top of the windshield, so long as such material is transparent and does not encroach upon the driver's direct forward viewing area as more particularly described and defined in Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standards No. 205 as the AS/1 portion of the windshield.

For what it's worth.

Yeah i mean obviously you wouldnt do 10% on the windshield. But 35% would be light enough to be able to see out clearly. And thanks Drmac im well aware of the states laws.

dont get me wrong i think tint is great for what it does but i would be afraid to tint the whole windshield. i say if you are going to do it start out light like 40-50 percent

you won't find many pics if any because not many people are moronic enough to do such. Stick to the txting while driving if you need a reason to get in an accident.

I dont know of anyone that has ever tinted their whole windshield, and i've never heard about anybody wanting to do it. I like the idea, but I wouldn't do it.

i have never seen a whole windshield done, but i have seen all but the bottom 6" done. it was an at home job, and there was a crease in the center. it looked like ***. but then again, if you drive laying down, the 6" is your direct view line, thru the steering wheel and all.

Well said andy.

don't get me wrong....we all like new ideas.

But, are you going to do it yourself?? I highly doubt a tinting shop would even consider tinting the entire windshield. And the best part about it, is if ordered to remove the tinting...it's a pita to get off. 35% is what we have on our lincoln....still is going to be a HUGE difference compaired to a GTN (green tint no accesories) windshield.

Here...found some pics:

How can you see someone behind you flipping you the bird?

Here's 50%, which...I think it would be okay.

Stock on the left, 35% on the right:

Alrighty....all in all...it is your ride, you do as you wish....but its something of which I would not want to see on the road.

I have to admit - I think it looks sweet. BUT, the few times that I've actually seen it on a street-driven vehicle I've thought 'What an idiot!' HUGE liabilty if you get into an accident or worse yet plow into some pedestrian.

i bet you dont have a job and still live at home with mommy and daddy
Actually I do the same thing you do, except I work on ford diesel trucks and I would bet im probably better at it than you *****.

To everyone else thanks for the responses that actually advice instead of all this against the law stuff. I mean seriously If I put window tint on my windshield then I would be contributing to the crime rate? Give me a fuc*ing break dude. I dont think im going to do it mainly because of the night driving aspect and my wife drives the truck from time to time. Oh well thanks for shi**ing on my dreams everybody.

Hahaha. That's your dreams? That suuuuucks!

Although 04 Edge is being a Pretentious *******. Hes acting like age means ****.

And if you don't see a biker crossing the street and hit them, then yes you are increasing the crime rate. Don't you realize that this isn't about "OMGS LAW SAYS DONT SO DONT!". It's about the fact you may injure or kill someone.

Hey, Cape Coral is like, a mile above Fort Meyers, right? Is it a different city or a big suburb?

That's a good idea! And I'll run over some pedestrians for the hell of it. And I won't even have front window tint as an excuse.
