they have done this for a while. back in 99 you could get a 2wd sport with the 2.5L

yea beard, i was thinking about that last night. It appears they are sorta bringing back the old splash/sport model. Ya i know that the splash was factory lowered and stepside and stuff like that, but with the model name change in 06 + the now coil sprung 2wd sport, it's like the sport/splash model is really back.

Its a nice truck, but I will keep mine because its paid off and theres more room in mine as well.

yeah, but the sport wasnt a torsion bar truck unless it was 4x4, they had coil springs if it was 2wd

Hell everyone knows the 2.3L is faster that the 3.0L down the quarter mile.

Plenty of guys here have run 17 flat or better stock on a 2.3L... most 3.0's are 18-19 seconds
