Xcal 2

Quick questions..

I found my xcal2 from my first ranger that I totalled and was wondering:
What I need to do to get it switched to my new ranger?
Is there any extra costs?

Thanks Vic

if you didnt remove the tune out of your old truck, you have to send the x cal back to sct for them to unlock it. If your new truck doesnt have the same box code, you have to have a different tune put in the x cal. its probably cheaper just to buy another one

You could get a tune from Doug at Bamachips.com for 50 bucks, or 115 for 3.
He's the guru, he'll help you out.

From Fred @ Rogue.....it's $15 for a vin change, and $75 or $100 for 3 tunes. don't remember.

From Doug @ Bama....it's $25 for a vin change, and $115 for 3 tunes.

Both services can be done via email, no sending of the xcal anywhere to get it done...unless you didn't put your oldtruck back to stock....if that's the case, the xcal would be 'locked' and would need to be sent to SCT to be unlocked...that's a $200 thing, then tunes and vin change on top of that...

Those are off the top of my head from a few months ago...and damnit...i need to get my used xcal up and going in my truck!
