If you got the step side, I got prices this weekend from around $975-$1250. I really don't like the way they look. Google camper shell. LEER and others make them.

Truck bed cover

Topper

Softopper.com makes a canvas topper that lets down like a convertable top on a car. I like mine.

hard not like a tonneu, but like a camper shell i guess that like looks nice, follows the lines of my tuck and doesn't bulge over the side, it is the side step stuff

I'm wondering the same thing - My browser search seems to be stuck on "Leer"

Leer, Jereco, Century, and ARE all make fiberglass caps, and I know at least 3 of them make them for stepsides, probably all of them do.

I believe all of them will bulge at the front, at least all that I have seen. One that I might look at is an aluminum cap. It doesn't bulge at the front, but it doesn't look as good as a fiberglass one (IMO).

I have seen them in fiberglass and aluminum like you are talking about. I bought the opposite of what you are looking for though so my picture of mine would be irrelevant but I like it a lot, in the bulges they added windows to eliminate blindspots and it make for two shelves if you use it for camping.

i have had both on my truck i originally had a gold fiberglass one. one thing i hated about it, was that it was heavy as f***! i sold it at a very nice profit and found a black aluminum one. i love my aluminum one better cause i can easily remove it since its soo much lighter, and i think looks much better. i found both of mine on craigslist.

here's a couple pics that i have:

If you are concerned about looks, then I'd definately go with a fiberglass one man

The aluminum ones are okay if you just absolutely need a cap and don't care what it'll look like.

The fiberglass ones can look good but the aluminum ones look like a cheap DIY storage shed on the bed of your truck.
