Yeah..Yeah we know Spirochets can't Drive

Ok so yesterday I posted a thread about backing into a tree, well on my way home I rear ended a RAM 1500...it was more like I let my clutch out and rolled into him...but it left a small dent in his bumper(his reciver absorbed the hit..but my bumper is bent upwards(no biggy i was about to replace it and valance anyway...BUT my airbags deployed...the inpact so little that i never hit theairbag it just when POP in my face.

Now im left with a torn dash and messed up steering wheel...Got the old bag cartages? out now i just need to either buy new ones(579.00 no comp...OUCH) or locate a junked ranger

Learn how to drive?

Just kidding...I would try the JY first. airbags are no joke though, you have to be careful when you replace them...they can blow up in your face easily.

If all else fails, take it to a shop.

Seriously, they are ripping you of. I payed that much after my accident a month and sill my deductable was only $250. What ins. co. do you have? Call them and tell them you want your deducable dropped to 500 or something.

IMO...I never ride with the passenger bag on for this reason alone: Nobody there and more money for me to fix it.

My driver bag blew when i hit a pot hole while driving on a trail to the wheelin' trail. Replacement bag from a junkyard was like $70 w/ the new airbag controller computer thing. You'll probably now need to replace the seat pre-tensioners as well(what your seat belt clips to on your seat).

For now, unbolt your airbags and leave it for now. it's still drivable definately. You didn't hit that hard...idk what these's rangers problems are with the airbag systems. mine went off with a freakin' pot hole!

Sorry man...it does suck.
