You guys are going to hate me

So today at work while we were cleaning up the shop to make room for the lawn mowers as grass cut season starts in 2 weeks. My boss calls me over and asks me if I want this winch that is sitting of the floor. He said it's been sitting there for three years and the only reason its been sitting is because it needs the solenoids replaced on it.

So I get it home hook my jumper cables up to it to respool the cable because it was a mess. Turns out that it was just two cables that weren't connected. Got them connected and bam it works perfect. So I got a 8000 pound winch with a remote for free. He also gave me a brand new set of fog lights, a complete air bag setup for the rear suspension that I'm giving to a friend.

Pics for proof.

I ordered a mounting plate for it last night and I am going to fab up some mounting brackets that will mount where the factory tow hooks mount to. I figure if Ford thinks that it's strong enough to pull off of, then it's got to be strong enough to mount a winch to.

And yes I have a 29 spline 8.8 with limited slip. From what I understand the 8.8 that come in the Rangers only have 29 splines unlike the 31 splines that came in the Explorers and the FX4 Lvl2.

Opps. I'll get that corrected I was going off the top of my head when I did that, at least I was close lol.

And yeah I'm always having good luck with this job, it's nice having an awesome boss. And I can't believe some of the stuff people leave behind when their homes get foreclosed. I can't even remember all the stuff I have gotten out of the homes that were about to be thrown away.

Also I forgot the mention he also gave me a BELTRONICS Vector FX2. I don't know if I'll ever use it but I have it.

What's even sadder though is everyone let me go one year without noticing it.
