Icon5 [Ranger 98] Which transmission filter to buy?

Hello everyone, i'm new here and new to Fords and Rangers. Just bought this car and for now replaced the engine oil and air filter.
Planning to replace Ball joints, Control arms, fuel filter and transmission filter.

When i was looking for a transmission filter ( Rockauto ) i noticed they sell different shapes for the same years and that is confusing.
How to tell what type of filter do i need for my transmission?
It's a 98 Ranger XLT, 2.5l, Automatic transmission. ( Stepside )

You can type in your vin at ford parts. You will learn what transmission your truck came off the line with exactly. Then with that info cross reference the OEM Part number, and enter what type of truck you have on your fav part store web site. Keep in mind part numbers can differ by manufactures. Its key to cross reference many different sites.
