08 fog light questions

on my 08 when i bought it , it never came with fog lights. so i figgured it be a easy mod. well sofar it is not.

i checked my owners manuel find the fuse and relay for the fogs in the under hood fuse box. look a bit ok fuse is there great...hmm no relay. so i goto ford buy a new headlight switch with the fog position in it and a fog light relay. install both into the truck and goto test the the fog light bulb sockets under the headlights and CRAP! no power.

i probe around with my tester all seems to be ok. at a stump so being that i just got home from a 18hr day, i gave up figgured id ask WTH am i missing lol.

BTW yes i know i still need the fog light fixtures for the valance, just havent bought them yet.

I have an 04 and couldnt find the radio bezel with the switch so i relayed it up to my parking lights. Parkings come on and fogs do too...

I had your problem on my 93 attempting to add fogs.

when i checked my owners manuel i checked for the main fuse for the fogs, it was installed. then i checked for a fog light relay, it wasent there so i went to ford and added a relay. then i bought the new headlight switch that has the fog light position intergraded into it, i installed it and i dont have power at my fog light plugs.

sucks the parts guys at ford are worthless, otherwise id ask them.

So there's power at the fuse when you have the switch on?

Is there a wiring harness for the lights? If so where does it plug in and is there power there?

ok did some more probeing of the truck. ive found out that the wire that goes between the relay and the head/ foglight switch does not go all the way to my headlight switch. i have it traced into the dash but loose it in the black hole we call the dash.

so i guess my new question is anyone know where that wire may go? i need a damn wiring diagram for this thing.

went to my local ford dealer. galpin ford. asked the service guy who gave me the dear in the headlights look. then i went to there speed shop "gas" galpin auto sports, the guy there seemed a little more in the know but still got the same dear in the headlights look.
