Hello all I have a 1998 ford ranger v6 stepside and just recently the check engine light came on I check it out and it came up running to lean vacuum leak. Around the same time I noticed a loud ?hissing? Sound you can say and tracked it down to a steel braided section of my fuel line at least I think it is. I never claimed to be a mechanic I only claim to not be able to afford one.i will snap a few pics and attach them. First will be a close up of the part in question. Also if this is my fuel line and it's not supposed to make that sound why isn't it spraying out fuel also?? Im trying to point at it Hopefully u see the quick disconnect and where i goes down to the filter And thats where it ends on or next to the valve cover on the passenger side. In just looking to identify the part and maybe answer that question of why it isn't spraying fuel everywhere
