Icon5 2000 Ranger wiring

Hi,
I have a check engine lite on all the time. I got a e-85 flex fuel error code. (truck does take flex fuel). Also Ford replaced that sensor. Ford tells me that I have a wire harness under the drivers seat that needs to be repaired (pins rusted). I looked thru several Ranger manuals and can;'t find anything about it. Ford wants $1200 to repin the harness! I'm not a mechanic but I am capable of repining the harness myself. Does anyone know the pin size? Or have any advise for that matter? $1200 seems like way too much to me. THanks to anyone for any assist that you give.

First I would try cleaning the pins and coating them with dielectric grease to keep the air and water away from them. Maybe that's all you need.

If any or the pins are truly wasted, then you could get another connector from a 99~2003 junkyard donor and patch in the pins/wires that you need for a repair. Finding an exact new replacement for the individual pins would probably be a chore.

The connector is right under the driver seat and joins the interior harness to the rear frame harness. It can be accessed from above or below, depending on which pins need attention.
