Do I really need a resistor?

Do I actually need a resistor for these lights to function properly as blinkers as well?

V-LEDS RED 92 M-SMT TAIL/BRAKE LIGHT BULBS 3157 3156 4057

It was mentioned in the review section as needing resistors, not everyone said that though. So I wonder if I would really need them

Not necessarily, you can use a replacement LED flasher too.

Turn on your turn signal and put your head under the dash. Now listen for and find where the clicking sound is coming from. You will find the sound comes from a small plastic relay, which is the flasher. Mine was blue in color. This is what you replace with an EP27 LED flasher.
