Icon9 2006 Ranger Engine Light Flashing

Hello, My truck is acting up again this time it's worse. I had a problem with the truck idling rough and throwing code for cylinder 5 so I changed wires, plugs and coil pack. Well that solved engine light problem but still kind of idled a little rough but not too bad, well today truck started idling really rough and could not get any power for a minute and engine light was flashing non stop, after I got the truck going about 25 mph it stopped flashing and cleared up but as soon as I went into idle for a few minutes it started again. I really don't know what to do now the code will not stay on to have it read, Please Help me!!!

Taken from a quick google search as I was curious as well:

A flashing CEL means one or more of the cylinders is misfiring enough to damage your catalytic converters. Since you drove an hour that way, you might end up replacing all of the catalytic converters in addition to fixing the misfires. Oh and you might want to get the codes read. The CEL being on might have been the PCM trying to warn you of the impending misfire issue along with which cylinder(s) the problem is at.

Sounds like you should get it checked out by a mechanic ASAP if it's the point where it's flashing.
