2008 - A/C Temperature **** Not Working :\

I have an 08 2.3l Ranger and its stuck on the coldest setting on A/C. Turning the temp **** from blue to red makes no difference in the temperature anymore. This also means the heater doesn't work as it doesn't change temp if I turn it to red.

All other ***** work fine, fan speed and a/c mode controls.

It's been out of bumper to bumper warranty for a while (almost 50k miles) so I guess I need to figure this out. :\

Well that is sucky. I barely adjust the thing. 75% of the year in Texas, it's on coldest setting. :/

Thanks for the info!

The blend door on these trucks is a known issue. It fails and is stuck in the last setting.

Cheap fix

Otherwise your pulling the dash and swapping out your heater box.

Thanks, I guess I'll have to do that. It's sad that I have to rip apart my Ranger interior that still smells new inside. :P My old 96 Ranger never had that issue w/ over 120k miles. Nor did my brother's w/ 155k. I hope this isn't a sign of things to expect in the future.
