I have a 5-speed 1999 Flex Fuel Range with head problems. I would like to know if I could direct swap a 2008 3.0L 5-speed manual ranger engine/transmisson assembly in with no problems and keep the same wire harness, etc. How difficult would it be to do the swap?

Im not sure if anything has changed over the years other than the flex fuel stuff. I would guess that you would need to swap all electronics and accessories off the old to the new.
