Okay I am trying to figure out some stuff I need to check or get checked. My truck has just rolled to 30,000. The only things I have changed/checked/replaced are:
- Fuel system cleaner (every 3'000 miles) - Oil change (every 3'000 miles) - Replaced factory belt with Dayco Poly Cog Belt - Replaced faulty power steering pulley - Tires rotated regularly That's it. I am going to be getting an alignment soon so that will not be needed. Is there anything that I need to replace/check/change at 30,000? Thanks! |
According to Ford, the 30k mile service includes:
*Change engine oil and replace oil filter *Inspect brake pads/shoes/rotors/drums, brake lines and hoses, and parking brake system *Inspect engine cooling system and hoses *Perform multi-point inspection *Rotate tires for optimal tire life *Inspect complete exhaust system and heat shields *Inspect wheel ends for end play and noise *Replace engine air filter *Inspect and lubricate steering linkage, ball joints, suspension and, if equipped, half shafts drive shaft and u-joints *Replace fuel filter |
Might I suggest also checking Transmition Fluid...

1st off DO NOT go to Ford for the 30k otherwise they'll rape you $460+! I would go and quote around other places. Like I went to Goodyear and they quoted $220-50 range not too bad and 1/2 the price.
Then again I see your doing everything yourself so thats even better lol. |
