I'm about to fire up my 302 in my rat rod for the first time... Getting the wiring finalized.

Coming off the bottom of the distributor is a small red wire with a grommet at the other end to hook up to something... It's thin, and it's not the main input line from the coil... Any ideas? Can I just not hook it up? The grommet is red, possibly indicating a positive line?

 

im a little rusty, but that doesnt sound normal?
