Icon5 4.0L SOHC Engine removal with A/C

Hey everyone. I just bought this 2004 2WD 4.0L SOHC with blown up timing chain guides, so I'm going to be pulling the engine to do them all. As I'm sure you know, there's a really excellent series on youtube detailing every step of this bear of a job. I noticed the guy purged the A/C system and removed the condenser to get the engine out. I'd like to avoid this if possible, so I was wondering if any of you have any insights on whether or not it's possible to pull a 4.0L SOHC engine without the hassle of purging and recharging the A/C. It looks like the condenser sits flush with the rad support with about 12" between it and the front of the long block, which seems like adequate space to me if I can pull the water pump and front timing cover with the engine in.

Cheers

In and out with accessories on and didn't mess with the AC system. You can see how tight it is though. Engine leveler is a must to pull it out and drop it in at an angle otherwise the pressure plate won't clear the upper firewall/wiper valley. I've only done this on a manual 4.0l, not sure if it's any harder with an auto but I would guess it's still possible.

+1 ^^^

But do you know if the AC works?
Or even has pressure in it?
If not then moot point, disconnect it

I forgot to mention that the radiator should come out before the engine and go back in after the engine is installed. You'll likely bend some fins on it trying to get the engine out if the radiator is still installed. Once the engine is off the mounts it swings toward the front a bit due to the angle and will impact the radiator.
