Got a quick question for the forum members...

Ok so my buddy Austy, did his manual swap, we had the computer issues I had. Then I showed him the wiring to wire up the case so that it works even with an auto computer and manual tranny.

The wires I used can be found in my thread I made on here about my manual swap.

Anyways, this weekend he put it into 4wd while up in the mountains and said that his dash lights blinked the 4wd and 4wd lo lights simultaneously 6 times in a row. And won't let him put it in 4wd... He's been using 4wd for a long time without problems and has randomly come across this problem.

Anyone have any ideas?

it will blink 6 times every 2 mins correct? the whole system is down... could be the shift motor or a number of things

 

Yeah as of recently he hasn't been able to shift into 4wd. Says that the system of blinking repeats itself too.

 

electric transfercase? does it click at all when he flips the switch?

 

Yeah it's the 1354e. He said it makes the noise like it's going into 4wd/4wdlo, but doesn't acutally engage.
