89 2.9 not running

89 2.9 not running

im new to the forum but i need some help, i just got a 1989 ranger with 2.9l 5 speed for 500 bucks, it ran good up in til 2 days ago.
here's the story i drove it all day no problems then it just died but started right back up drove it home next day started just fine drove a bit it died again but i got it going again it died on me 2 or 3 times on the way to where i was going then i was going home it felt like it had no power then died i had to call a buddy to tow it back to me place,
now it just wont start or run a all.
i cleaned the throttle body and IAC checked the fuel rail and it had pressure
now i don't know what to do please help.

Mine was to where it was running good then all of a sudden, it would start spit and spuddering, just about to die. I ran it like that for 3 or 4 days, then it started dying. Took it to a local garage and they did a full tune-up and that fixed the problem for a few days. Then it started doing it again. Took it back and they said that the new plug wire were bad and replaced them.

Haven't had a problem from it for about 6 months now. hope this helps,
