I got a new blower fan resistor at O'Reiley's ,, but on removing the old one,, I discovered the connector,, was also melted. Had to get the connector at Auto-Zone,,,, so far so good,,, the 'new' connector is a 4 wire ,, the old connector is really a five wire , but 2 wires go to same slot ,, so that part is easy. The problem is,,,, the wire colors on the new connector,, are not like for like as far as physical location,,,,,,,,,, got me nervous.
So,,,, I am thinking I disregard the new connector wire colors,,,, correct,,, just consider the new plug having all wires 'black',,,, and match :


Plug on vehicle, left,, new plug right side.

right with right,, [black to 2 orange w/blk wires ] left with left,,[yellow to green ] then under those,,,, top with top orange to red ],, bottom with bottom,,,[ green to yellow w/red ],,,,,,,,,,,this has to be the case,,, or am I missing something ??
